Write Up - Newsletter from Author Teresa LaBella.
Welcome to the latest edition of my author newsletter Write-Up.
The name reflects my full-circle writer’s journey from journalist to fundraising executive, freelancer to author and the direction following our dream will take us. I invite you to join me on this journey while you compose your own life chapters and verse.
All good reads come to those who wait for the author’s rewrite. So it was that the hoped-for April 1st launch of my “Love Unlikely” novella got pushed back to the lusty, merry month of May.
Rachel and Drew’s romance gets off to a rocky start with twists and turns as sharp as the winding roads through the Scottish Highlands. She’s determined not to let anyone crack the protective shell around her heart and has vowed never to fall in love. He thinks she’s a pain in the ass and is more than happy to comply with her wishes and keep his distance.
I had lots of fun wrapping up the New Life in Love trilogy with the ‘who-knows-where-love-will-lead’ tale of Marisa’s little sister. I hope you’ll include “Love Unlikely” on your spring into summer must read list! Love Unlikely available at amazon click here.
In the meantime, if you’re in the area of my Quad City hometown this weekend, check out the first ever Rock Lit Fest and Author Book Fair in downtown Rock Island, Illinois. I’ll be chatting with readers and signing books at the Book Fair hosted by the Rock Island Public Library at 401 19th Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 6. I’ll take a break at 2 to compare author recommended books to read during a panel discussion with humorist Matt Geiger and cozy mystery writer Karen Musser Nortman.
If you’re looking for a unique gift for Mom, drive north to LeClaire, Iowa a week later. Join me Saturday, May 13th from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and enjoy the view from the porch at Grasshopper’s and the Vintage Vine Wine Cellar along the river at 208 N. Cody Road. I’ll sign your favorite New Life in Love novel and tie it up in a bow for Mother’s Day giving.
